Feast of hurling action on offer.

Glenealy Captain Danny Staunton accepts the cup from Martin Coleman after last years championship win. Sunday next will see the semi-finals taking place in Joule Park.

The semi-finals of the Dacia intermediate and senior hurling championships are down for decision this weekend. On Saturday red hot favourites Avondale play Carnew in the first of the intermediate semi-finals.

Pearses Park in Arklow is the venue and 3pm is throw in time. On Sunday morning in Wicklow Town Arklow Rocks will hope to repeat their group win over Kilcoole with this one starting at 11am.

The holders Glenealy and great rivals St Patricks are first up in Joule Park on Sundays double bill. This one starts at 2pm and promises to be an interesting and well contested affair.

At 3-30 Bray Emmets and Carnew renew rivalries in the second semi-final. Carnew had a good win a few weeks back when they met in the group stage but Bray have had the upper hand in the knock out games between the two in recent times.

The Senior final is on Sunday October 21st in Joule Park and will be preceded by the replay of the minor hurling championship final with Avondale Parnells and Carnew Emmets.
