North/East Wicklow Young Whistler Course
Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Chill Mhantáin will hold a Young Whistler (Hurling/Camogie) course on Thursday 19thJanuary in Kilcoole Primary School (St. Anthony’s building) from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. approx. Places are limited so please let Rúnaí Brian Cornyn know as soon as possible if your school would like to participate. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Schools are asked to send a 5th/6th class boy and girl on the day. These Young Whistlers will be asked to help referee at our upcoming blitzes. A responsible, reliable pupil who shows enthusiasm and initiative would be a fantastic candidate. South Wicklow is Looking for Feedback to Plan Ahead
It is hoped to have a Term 2 Fixture list out soon. The first blitz back will be a 3rd/4th class boys indoor hurling blitz in Aughrim. Click on the link below which will allow forfeedback on how the first term went and how to improve things going forward. Leinster Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Handball Competition
If any school in Wicklow is interested in getting involved in handball, please contact Rúnaí Brian Cornyn via email(runai.cnmbwicklow@yahoo.ie). Leinster representatives will be selected for the national Cumann na mBunscol day by the weekend of 4th/5th February 2023. With this in mind, there will be a Leinster Cumann na mBunscol competition on Friday 3rdFebruary 2023.
Each county can put forward one representative each for the following grades:
Boys’ U-11 singles
Boys’ U-11 doubles
Girls’ U-11 singles
Girls’ U-11 doubles
Boys’ U-13 singles
Boys’ U-13 doubles
Girls’ U-13 singles
Girls’ U-13 doubles
The deadline for returning entry forms will be 5pm on Sunday 29th January. The entry form will be released once the venue is confirmed.

3rd / 4th Class Indoor Boys/Girls’ Hurling/Camogie Blitz

Indoor hurling/camogie blitz for boys and girls in 3rd and 4thClass. Young Whistlers can used. These are not mixed boys/girl’s teams, i.e., boys and girls will play separately.
The emphasis in this competition is on participation and sport for all, 7 a-side.
Schools will attend on 1 of these days.

Eleven-a-side and no age limit at 11.45 a.m.
Points only, goalkeeper. 3 points for a point, 1 point for a goal.
Girls’ Wicklow Times Shield Day 1
9th March at 11.45 a.m. in Bray – 9 a-side
Goalkeeper, points worth 3, goals worth 1 point

INTO Skills Challenge
(Two pupils per school may participate in each discipline – Boys’ and Girls’ Football, Camogie and Hurling.)
Regional events will take place on the week of 13th March (on the Mon/Tue/Wed) and those selected will go forward to a county selection day which will be held on the week of the 20th March (on the Mon/Tue/Wed) in Ballinakill.
Credit Union Cup (Hurling)
18th May at 11.45 a.m. (Venue to be confirmed). One day boys’ nine-a-side hurling blitz. Competitive based games.
Allianz Camogie Day
25th May at 11.45 a.m. (Venue to be confirmed). One day girls’ nine-a-side camogie blitz. Competitive games.
Sports Day Meeting
Wednesday 31st May at 8.00 p.m. in NewtownmountkennedyPrimary School
It is imperative that any school participating in Sports Day 2023 is represented at this meeting.
