Determination Shown by Wicklow Boys at the Carlow Lift and Strike

It was a wet and windy day on the 13^th June in Éire Óg, however this did not stop 16 Wicklow boys from showing determination and enthusiasm in the Carlow Lift and Strike competition. Schools representing Wicklow included Crossbridge, Coolafancy, Rathcoyle, Knockananna, Kilcommon and Donard. A massive thank you to all the schools that took part and to the parents for arranging transport for their children and for cheering them on! It was great to see so many young boys taking part. Thanks also to the referees and all those who were involved in the organising of this competition and making it a success despite the weather.

Wicklow Girls Fly the Flag in Parnell Park

A wonderful day was had at the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Áth Cliath Girls Football Blitz, held in Parnell Park. The Wicklow girls were there representing six schools in Greystones: Greystones Educate Together, St Brigid’s, St Kevin’s, St Laurence’s, Greystones Community National School and St Patrick’s. They met teams from Laois, Westmeath, Carlow and Offaly. Some great skills were on show and the girls worked really well as a team. Thanks to Cumann na mBunscol Áth Cliath for organising such a memorable occasion for the girls.
