WICKLOW GAA NOW TAKING APPLICANTS FOR COACHING POSITIONS ON OUR KELLOGG’S GAA CÚL CAMPS FOR 2021
NOTE :
Applications are invited for positions as Coaches for the Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps 2021. Camps will be running in Wicklow from 5th July – 20th August in Juvenile clubs across the county subject to GAA/Government guidelines.
Applicants must have current or previous coaching experience in a club, school or camps. Evidence of current coaching role may be required. Coaches will be required to coach both Hurling and Gaelic Football to children aged 6-13 in camps.
The following are the minimum criteria that all coaches must have before they will be considered for a position. Under no circumstances can we offer coach positions to coaches who do not meet the coaching qualification criteria.
• Be 18 years of age by 5th July 2021 (before the camps commence) • Minimum GAA Foundation Coaching Course completed. (We plan to run a Foundation Course prior to commencement of camps for potential coaches who have not completed this yet)
• GAA Garda Vetting Reference Number. Vetting number must be supplied. If not completed, please log onto https://www.gaa.ie/the-gaa/child-welfare-and-protection/vetting to get vetting completed ASAP. Link to vetting is also contained within Question 12 (Please Note: Garda Vetting cover is for a period of three years from time you completed the vetting procedure so please check you have a valid garda vetting clearance.)
• GAA Safeguarding (Child Welfare) Certificate Number must be supplied. If not completed at time of application must be completed prior to start of Cúl Camps. (We plan to run a child safeguarding course prior to commencement of camps for potential coaches who have not completed this yet) – Please Note: Child Safeguarding cover is for a period of three years from the time you completed the course, so please check that your child safeguarding cert is valid. Training for all coaches will take place prior to the commencement of the Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps and will be mandatory for all coaches to attend. Training will likely be a mix of online and face to face again depending on GAA/Government guidelines at the time.
All details submitted are stored by the County Camp Co-Ordinator and shared for administrative purposes only, they will be stored for the duration of your involvement on the camps in 2021.
When making yourself available for coaching, you are expected to work the full week.
