Avondale 5-18 Arklow Rocks 1-7

A clinical Avondale team proved far too good for Arklow Rocks in the opener in Joule Park. Led from the front by man of the match Ray Nolan they were never in any danger as Arklow struggled with their pace and skill all over the field. Losing Cian Doyle to a red card in the 11th minute further hampered the Arklow men. Avondale led by 1-11 to 1-2 at the break.
