Contrats to Bob Fitzgerald

It was an early start for Bob and the others competitors in this years Wicklow GAA’s Senior Poc Fada which took place in Ballinakill COE this morning.

Released early from Club training Bob from Annacurra who hurls with Carnew Emmets, was joined by Robert Cowman from An Tóchar (hurling with Éire Óg Greystones), Meithéal Cleary and defending Wicklow Poc Fada Champion Rory Martin both of Dunlavin and hurling with Western Gales, for the 10:00 am start this morning.

Bob finished 1 poc ahead of Meithéal and Rory, with Robert finishing another poc behind. As this is Roberts first year competing for the Senior title everyone was impressed with his short selection and accuracy.

Bob now qualifies to represent Wicklow in the Leinster Poc Fada final at the 9 Stones, Mounth Leinster in 2 weeks.
