Wicklow GAA Health & Wellbeing Committee are involved in and promote a range of programmes that are designed to promote physical & mental health, assist with positive integration and inclusion and engage positively with the wider community.
Since the beginning of 2020 the Irish and world population has been dealing with the effects of the COVID-19 virus. To deal with this central Governments and the GAA have developed different programs.
In a similar way but specifically geared towards individual GAA Clubs, Wicklow GAAs Health & Wellbeing Committee will develop and roll out different programs. One example is the coordinated way an individual Club could develop a Critical Incident Planning program.

One Good Coach – Gaelic Games and Jigsaw, FREE Online Workshop
This course offers participants a greater understanding of mental health, the importance of their role as a potential One Good Adult® in the lives of young people, and a greater awareness of how to promote and support young people’s mental health.
Wicklow Smoking Cessation Programme
Wicklow GAA has partnered with County Wicklow Partnership (CWP) to promote the CWP smoking cessation programme “Smoke Free Community”.
The CWP Mission Statement is
“To effect change in the county by supporting the social, cultural, economic and environmental well being of individuals, families, groups and communities in County Wicklow”.
