Hollywood held off a brave fightback by Avoca to be crowned Junior B champions for 2018 last Saturday.

The west men had a comfortable 0-7 to 0-1 lead at the break after having the benefit of a strong wind blowing towards the town end in Joule Park.

Avoca fought back strongly in the second period and a goal by top scorer Martin Kenny gave them hope but they couldn’t find the equalising score in the remaining minutes despite having plenty of opportunities.

Hollywood only scored once in the second half and it was crucial with a Keith Peppard free eventually proving the winning score.
