Wicklow GAA Management Committee is delighted to announce that they are nominating Paddy Dalton for the position of Minor Football Manager for the 2020 season. Paddy will bring huge experience, commitment and determination to the role.
Paddy has been loyal servant to Wicklow GAA and represented the county at senior level from 2002 to 2015. Paddy was part of the teams who won the Tommy Murphy Cup in 2007, progressed to the 4th round of the Qualifiers in 2009 and won the Division 4 National Football League in 2012. Prior to this, Paddy also represented the county at Minor and U21 grades.
Paddy is a key player for his club, Coolkenno, and has won numerous underage titles along with two Intermediate Football titles. Paddy also captained the St. Mary’s team who won the Senior Football Championship in 2012.
Paddy has been part of the Garden County Academy Coaching team since 2015 and has coached the 2020 Minor squad since u15 level. Paddy was a selector and coach on the 2016 Wicklow Minor team and with the U21 and Senior teams in 2017.
Paddy’s nomination will go before January’s County Board Meeting.
