Wicklow take on neighbours Kildare in the first round of the Leinster Football Championship this Saturday in Carlow.
Wicklow had mixed fortunes in the league and they will be hoping for a strong championship performance on Saturday. Kildare will be confident after a good league campaign which saw them finish mid table in Division 2.
Wicklow have introduced a number of young players over the last three years and hopefully the mixture of youth and experience will be enough to overturn Kildare.
The winner will take on Longford in the quarter finals two weeks later.
